We Remember Eric Gabel

What was Eric like as a little boy?
Eric was full of life, curious, independent yet involved in team/group activities. Eric had a quick wit and loved to see his family and friends smile. Eric had this sly little smile. Growing up, Eric loved to watch wrestling and all sports.

What did Eric like most about going to Lafayette High School and the Rockwood community?
Eric loved the familiar, inviting faces and friends that he had come to know since he was little. He also loved Language Arts - he loved writing stories - especially fiction. His imagination went wild when given the opportunity in a writing assignment.

What were Eric's goals for his future?
Eric wanted most to provide for his then 2 1/2 year old son. He knew that he had to complete his college education in order to get a steady and fulfilling job. He was looking forward to setting out on the next phase of his life after college graduation.

What do we want people to remember most about Eric?
His love for his family (especially his son) and his enthusiasm for St. Louis sports teams (especially the St. Louis Cardinals and his brother's soccer and volleyball teams). Eric was a big dreamer and had very high expectations for himself.
