What was Bobby like as a little boy?
Rambunctious, competitive, quiet, loved sports, music and always teasing his
sisters. He was so much taller than them, and he’d put plates of food and other
stuff on top of the kitchen cabinets or china cabinet, then deny he’d done it with a
big smile – no one else could have reached those heights.
What did Bobby like most about going to Lafayette High School and the
Rockwood community?
The Class of 2002 itself. Whether it was going to sporting events, pep
assemblies, or dances, Bobby could have been found with any number of
different people. He loved Latin, Language Arts and sports (not a class but he
gave it his all).
What were Bobby's goals for his future?
Youth Ministry, Pastoral Care, mission work both nationally, more so
internationally, he wanted a family, to coach and to take care of his parents.
What do we want people to most remember about Bobby?
His youthful enthusiasm, his compassion, his patience, his big hugs, his smile,
big heart, his giving nature, tenacious competitor, adventurous and deep thinker.
He went after the joys and the love of life. He wasn’t afraid to be who he was and
go after the things he was called to do.
